A Global Supply Chain and Logistics $10 BN business, providing asset solutions and infrastructure for the shipping industry in 100+ locations across the globe appointed Pacific to identify an Automation and IT Manager to drive and lead the development and deployment of Automation and IT processes in one of their most important Terminals, located in North Africa.
Pacific was engaged by the Chief Operating Officer, based in North Africa, to go to market and identity an experienced Automation and Interface Manager to drive the design, automation integration and optimization of the Terminal technical interfaces.
With the construction and expansion of one of the world’s most technologically advanced ship to shore and container handling terminal, our client asked Pacific to manage the search for an expert in the fields of Automation, Information System management and industrial infrastructure architecture. Due to the very niche skillset required for this mandate and the lack of local talent, this search was extended globally.
Working closely with the COO based in Morocco, and the Global HR Business Partner based in the Netherlands, and using our headhunting approach, Pacific was able to identify a strong shortlist of EMEA based candidates with the right technical and project management experience within 4-weeks.
The successful candidate, based in Spain and headhunted from a global e-commerce organisation, was identified at the very early stages of the search and after being interviewed remotely by multiple leadership stakeholders and team members based in the terminal, and a site visit, accepted the mandate and relocated with his family to Morocco.
