Pacific was retained by a key industrial engineering company in the US. They were looking for a high level Materials Director with a strong background to manage over 500 employees.
Pacific was engaged with one of our key industrial engineering clients and one of their largest and most complex US facilities. The organization was seeking a Materials Director to be responsible for all facets of supply chain for the high mix facility of over 500 employees. The position had been open for several months, and in the interim the Operations Director and Senior Director of Supply Chain were covering for the position (which was not sustainable), so they turned to Pacific as we had delivered for them in Europe.
Using our knowledge and network in this space, as well as target companies in the Chicago region, Pacific target mapped for the position both local and relocatable candidates. Pacific delivered several candidates with the ideal planning and inventory management experience, but the mission driven organization was truly focused on culture fit. They were looking for a candidate that could grow within the business eventually move into a multi-site senior level position in either Operations or Supply Chain.
In less than two months, Pacific identified and delivered a skilled Materials leader with experience from a top competitor to the client that was highly referred by a candidate who had previously been in Pacific’s network. The candidate relocated from Colorado to Chicago and immediately turned to Pacific to start building out his own team in the new role.
