As our client’s business is going through a significant transformation, they were looking for top-grade talent within their Sales and Marketing function. The current leadership was lacking the growth mindset needed to drive the business into new markets, and the incumbent lacked the hand-on leadership style the rest of the Sales team required to develop and succeed. They needed an empowering leader, who could drive not only the growth of the business through strategic thinking but also the growth and development of the team.
Utilising our existing network in the sector, we were quickly referred to the candidate via a previous Pacific client, this was matched by a targeted headhunting campaign of a number of Sales leaders from similar growth businesses in the sector. Working directly with the CEO, we needed to ensure we optimised the time to hire process and this was achieved through conducting bespoke video interviews as well as having the shortlist complete our assessment process including psychometrics.
The candidate identified was the first candidate profile presented to the CEO and CHRO in our first weekly meeting. The individual brought strong leadership abilities as well as that hunter, sales savvy mindset the organisation required. Bringing the technical sales skillset (from a background in Plastics), he also brought the right personality to the team.
We are still in contact with both the organisation and the candidate and are continuing to deliver top talent to the company. The candidate has now been in the business for a year and has continued to perform and impress the CEO as he expands the organisation into new markets.
