Pacific was retained by this high growth plastics manufacturing organization headquartered in the mid-west US to identify a Lead Engineer for their newly created Environmental, Health and Safety department. The Lead EHS Engineer would set and execute compliance and programs for the organization while creating a safety culture within the organization.

Given the fact that the organization is growing rapidly, they had a need for a Health, Safety, and Environmental professional that was very hands-on and detail oriented to join their organization to create a strong safety standard. The client needed a pivotal leader to be responsible for designing and implementing safe ways for the many operators a the two sites of the organization. The challenge, set by the CEO, was zero accident culture.

As Pacific had previously delivered on a number of position for the CEO across the business nationally, we were engaged deliver one this crucial new talent acquisition in safety. After attempting to do their own training and recruiting internally, they turned to Pacific to bring in not just a safety expert, but someone that could bring an engineering perspective to EHS. They were looking for a energetic, detail oriented, passionate individual that was confident in their abilities to gain buy in from team members up and down the organization.

Utilizing our knowledge and network of the EHS and Sustainability sector in both the local and national market, we focused on identifying a diverse candidate shortlist with over 50% of the shortlist consider diverse candidates.

We successfully closed the talent acquisition mandate with a diverse candidate joining the business. The successful candidate was identified through a trusted referral and accepted an offer within one month.

This individual was extremely skilled in EHS and she had the drive and motivation that our client was looking for. She had previously been in a very similar role where she implemented new safety measures into multiple sites and created a safety and zero accident culture across all the sites.
