This high growth biotechnology firm engaged Pacific on this niche search to identify a leadership role covering capital projects based out of their Philadelphia headquarters. Having previously outsourced all their capital project needs, this position would play a crucial role in leading the company’s efforts to build out an internal capital projects team. An acute emphasis on diversity and inclusion meant the search had been open for over 6 months prior to Pacific being engaged.
Having operated in this biotechnology sector for over 10 years and with a strong focus on female leaders, we were able to target the search in an established network to begin the search. Additionally, being local client to our US operations, we were able to better leverage our expertise of the Pennsylvania area to identify and meet all shortlisted candidates face to face.
We concluded the project with a shortlist of over 50% of candidates presented being female, including the female leader who successfully secured the position. The mandate was completed in 60 days from initial project mandate kick meeting with the stakeholders to offer acceptance.
