Plant Manager mandate fully executed and delivered with 4 weeks for a leading European privately-owned pet food manufacturer, entering the US market
Pacific was approached by the Human Resources Director to go-to-market and identify a Plant Manager capable of mobilizing a team in readiness to start production at their new state-of-the-art facility in the US. As a newly created role with a niche set of requirements, they were looking specifically for candidates with wet pet food experience as well as experience of building a greenfield facility. The rural location of the new plant was also considered to be a potential barrier to attracting talent.
The COO (a former client of Pacific from Mars Petcare) retained Pacific to deliver two outcomes; firstly, to find the best Plant Manager for the business and secondly, to provide market mapping on the local market and salary level data for this type of position. Pacific’s legacy in the animal food sector enabled us to present a number of candidates who had the niche expertise required and also matched the cultural fit with the business.
Despite the challenging location, by leveraging our extensive network of contacts we were able to able to showcase a number of strong potential candidates and successfully recruited the individual into role in under four weeks. The individual has already made a significant impact on the operation and enabled the business to start production on time.
